Properly fit clubs help you play better regardless of your skill level. Note that this is not a demo day, but rather a comprehensive fitting session with limited time slots available. Sign up for Ping here, and Callaway here.

Silver Eagles
Open to all golf members who will have reached their 50th birthday by the end of 2024. Play is every Tuesday now through 10/22, with 9am shotgun starts. Members may elect to play 18 holes in varying weekly formats, or 9 holes of Captain’s Choice, with many gathering for lunch afterward in the 19th hole. Glenmore Women's Golf Association

3rd Annual Glenmore Match Play Championship
A fun, season-long tournament open to men and women golf members of all skill levels, as long as you have a USGA handicap. Come try to dethrone 2023 champ Toby Norris! Play begins in four flights, seeded by your index as of 4/28, and is singles match play with one match per month throughout the season. Full details here, sign up by Sun 4/28 here.

PGA Junior League
A combo of instruction and socialization that makes for a low-stress introduction to competitive golf for children of all skill levels. Competitions take place in scramble groups that mimic other team sports, rather than stroke or match play. The season runs mid-May through mid-August, there are weekly late afternoon practices at the club, and home and away with other area clubs on Sundays. Passover Seder - Tuesday 4/23, 6pm
Join us for a vibrant Passover Seder, a time-honored tradition celebrating freedom, community, and renewal. Open to all members and guests are welcome, regardless of faith, whether you've never observed Passover before or are continuing a long-standing tradition. Speaker Series: Coffee & Conversation, Caring for your Glenmore Home - Wednesday 4/24, 10am
Realtor and Glenmore resident Jamie Waller brings in experts from Charlottesville Organizing (home organizing and move management) White Dove Staging (home staging and interiors). No cost, in the Ballroom. Stop by, have some coffee, and get some practical tips from experts!

Floral Bouquet Workshop - Saturday 4/27, 2-3pm
Indulge your senses in a delightful floral bouquet workshop where creativity blooms and relaxation flows! An arranging expert from WeGrow joins us and will offer instruction you can learn from whether you're a budding enthusiast or a seasoned pro. In the Pavilion, $70 per person includes supplies, wrapping for your finished bouquet, and a glass of wine. RSVP here.

Member Social Kentucky Derby - Saturday 5/4, 5:30pm
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Running with the Roses. Celebrate it in the Pavilion, with the Derby on TV and themed bites from Chef Frederick. Wear your best Derby attire! We'll have a hat contest and a member charge bar with Mint Julips and more. Menu coming soon, RSVP here

Speaker Series: Coffee & Conversation, Caring for your Glenmore Home - Wednesday 5/29, 10am
In part two of this series, the focus turns to kitchens and clutter. Realtor Jamie Waller presents pros from Kitchen Wise (life-simplifying closet and kitchen organization) and Rubbish Works (full service junk removal, recycling, donation and disposal). No cost, in the Ballroom.

Racquet Sports, Pool and Fitness

 

Double Trouble Pickleball Tournament - Saturday 5/4, 8am
Glenmore co-hosts a tourney with the Lake Monticello Pickleballers. Sign up with a partner in one of four divisions, and the final format and schedule will be based on signups. 

Adult Pickleball Block Party + Kids Pickle & Pizza Social - Sunday 5/5
Adult pickleball starts at 12:30pm, with a “get to know your neighbor” round robin. Then it's a flighted, level-based tournament--all levels are welcome! $15 per person includes non-alcoholic beverages and prizes. From 4-5pm, have your juniors join us for a Pickle & Pizza Social. There'll be a short “how to play” session, followed by games and a friendly team v. team competition. Aimed at ages 5-12, $15 per person includes drinks, prizes, and pizza. Field sizes are limited, so if you'd like to play please RSVP soon.

Microburst Swim Program
For 3-5 year olds who want to learn how to swim. Swimmers must be potty trained, and there are two levels based on skill, with level placement determined by the Swim Coach. Level 1 meets Mon/Wed 11-11:30am. Level 2 meets Tue/Thu 11-11:30am. Both run from 6/10 to 7/18--ten lessons over six weeks, with no class the week of July 4th. $180 per swimmer, full info and sign up here. Limited to nine children per class, so signup soon!

Pickleball 101, Wed 6-7pm. Six weeks, 4/17-5/25, with no class on 4/24.
Pickleball 102, Thu noon-1:30pm.
Cardio Pickleball Demo Clinics, Tue 4/16 (5-6pm), and Thu 4/18 (11am-noon). Limited to eight players.
"Three & Me" Playing Lessons with Coach Alex. Want to have some match play coaching with a pro? Get your own group of three together for a “Three and Me” session with Coach Alex as your fourth.
Junior Picklerz Clinic, Sun noon-1pm. Have some kiddos that want to learn pickleball? This is the clinic for them! Coach Alex hosts this four week series aimed at K-5 juniors new to the sport. Dates are 4/28, 5/5, 5/19 and 6/2, with an ice cream social after play on 6/2.

Prime Rib Nights - Every Other Thursday (5/2, then 5/16 & 5/30)
Choose either an 8 or 12 oz. cut, served with Buttered Asparagus, a Baked Potato, Au Jus, Horseradish Sauce, Butter and Sour Cream. The regular dinner menu is also served on Prime Rib Nights.

Fish on Friday
With Prime Rib shifting to Thursdays, new is Fish on Fridays--a new special every week, based on what Chef Frederick can get fresh from market, paired with complementary sauces and sides.

Burger Nights - Every Sunday
A menu of some of classic combos, plus build-your-own options. Begins at 5pm every Sunday, in leiu of the regular dinner menu.

Sunday Brunch
From 11am-2pm every Sunday. Brunch at the club or to-go. 

Tailgate and Watch Party Catering
