Golf 

Golf for In the Pink - Thursday 9/28
Save the date for supporting a great cause. In conjunction with the In the Pink tennis tourney, we'll be hosting an informal fundraising golf event. Bring a guest ($76 for 18, $45 for 9) on Thu 9/28 and proceeds go to support essential women's health and wellness programs at Sentara Martha Jefferson. Last year, In the Pink raised over $30k which made possible free programs to help women prevent, diagnose, treat and survive breast cancer. Donations are also welcome online, or checks (made out to TWC-ITP) can be dropped off in the Pro Shop.

Men's Member-Guest - Friday-Saturday 9/29-30
Five 9-hole best ball net rounds, capped off by a shoot-out for the Flight Champions, plus great food and drink throughout. The field will be pre-flighted based off the combined handicap index of you and your partner, and all players must have a valid USGA handicap. Optional practice round on Thu 9/28 (after 11am), spouses/partners are welcome to join the evening festivities on Fri 9/29, awards and dinner after play on Sat 9/30, and free golf (excepting cart fees) for players, guests, and spouses/partners on Sun 10/1. Club Championships - Saturday-Sunday 10/14-15
Divisions are based on age and tee played. Gross scoring for men, gross and net scoring for women. Open to all golf members, more info and sign up here.

Third Annual Rotella Classic - Monday 10/23
Save the date for the club's premier event of the year. It's a fun day with great food, drink and swag, all while raising funds to help grow junior golf in Central VA, and create access to elite instruction here at the club. All junior golf programming at the club for the past two years has been underwritten by proceeds from past Rotella Classics, and we've seen some great kids come through the gates who otherwise wouldn't have been able to take advantage of such an opportunity. In addition to benefiting a good cause, we've also seen fantastic special guests stop by for past events; last year it was Denny McCarthy and Pádraig Harrington--plus a Claret Jug! Women's Fall 5-week Clinic
This series of weekly women-only small group lessons is designed to solidify basics and save you strokes. We'll begin with putting, then move through short game, irons and driving--working from the green back. Clinics are limited to six participants. $150 per person, Tue from 10-11am, each week from 9/5 through 10/10 (excepting 9/19). RSVP here

5-week No Embarrassment Clinic
Are you interested in starting the game, or returning after a long time not playing, or just feeling not quite ready for the course? Need to get around in the yearly corporate outing and it's the one time you play for the year? If this sounds like you, then this is the clinic for you. This five-week program covers all the basics, with the goal of getting you comfortable in all facets of the game. Wed 6-7pm, from 9/6 through 10/4. $150 for the program, limited to 6 participants, RSVP here.

Rombauer Wine Dinner - Wednesday 10/11, 6pm
A special wine pairing dinner featuring four wines from one of Napa Valley's finest wineries. Family owned and operated, Rombauer has been crafting award-winning wines since their founding in 1980. Glenmore Women's Club Luncheon - Friday 10/13
All Glenmore women are invited to an October Luncheon featuring a performance by the Charlottesville Symphony Orchestra's String Trio. Full info here.

Professional Dance Lessons
Cville's Fred Astaire Dance Studios will be offering dance lessons in the Ballroom from 6-7pm on Thu 9/28, 10/5, 10/19 and 10/26. Dances taught include: Bachata, Rumba, Salsa, Tango, Slow Waltz and more. Beginners encouraged and welcomed--no pressure, just fun! $25 per person per evening or $80 for all four sessions. Includes hors d’oeuvres, and there will also be a member charge bar available. RSVP here.

Handcrafters Group - Wednesdays 1-3pm in the Piper Pub
A time for club members and their guests who craft by hand to join together while we work our craft, teach, learn, or just join in the fellowship and conversation. Racquet Sports, Pool and Fitness

Thursday Evening Yoga
Restorative Gentle Yin Fusion mixes three of the most relaxing genres of yoga into one soothing class. Every Thu in Sep & Oct from 7:15-8:15pm. No prior experience necessary, all levels welcome. Classes are limited to 10 participants, and while there is no charge for the class there is a no-show fee to ensure access for all who want to take the class. RSVP here.

Pickleball for Patriots - Sunday 10/29, 9am-2pm
A mixed pickleball event that raises funds for a great local organization, Gratitude Cville, which is dedicated to supporting veterans, police, and active duty military personnel. More info and sign up here.

Play for Pink
This great annual event features tennis and pickleball activities at eight local clubs and supports essential women's health and wellness programs at Sentara Martha Jefferson. Last year it raised over $30k which made possible free programs to help women prevent, diagnose, treat and survive breast cancer. On Fri 9/29 the club is hosting mixed pickleball (individual or teams) and mixed tennis (also individual or teams) with players of any level welcome. Those are open to all local players, and signups are online. We're also hosting a members-only ladies In the Pink tennis tournament on Sat 9/30. You can also make a donation without playing, and our thanks to members for their strong support in years' past.

Fall Tennis Programming
The return of some old favorites, like Pickleball 101 for adults interested in learning the game, plus new opportunities like a co-ed travel tennis team for juniors. Juniors - Drop-in clinics run from 9/11 to 10/30, meet Mon/Wed afternoon, and are offered in three different age groups. The travel team is for ages 8-14 who can serve, rally and keep score but are looking to learn and gain match playing experience. Prime Rib Nights - Every Other Friday (9/15 and 9/29 this month)
Choose either an 8 or 12 oz. cut, served with Buttered Asparagus, a Baked Potato, Au Jus, Horseradish Sauce, Butter and Sour Cream. The regular dinner menu is also served on Prime Rib Nights.

Burger Nights - Every Sunday
A menu of some of classic combos, plus build-your-own options. Begins at 5pm every Sunday, in leiu of the regular dinner menu.

Sunday Brunch
From 11am-2pm every Sunday. Brunch at the club or to-go.
